Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

We woke up excited about what today might bring us. As we awoke, we realized several boats around us had been pranked. We were thankful that we were not on the receiving end of those pranks. Bear and Zander stopped another boat the night before from sneaking onto our boat with lots of garlic powder. We then started scrambling to make French toast and practice knots for our exam that day. The chefs happened to set off the fire alarm (by burning French toast) three times which was quite awkward. After breakfast, Teddy helped everyone finalize their knots, and because of this, everyone passed their knots test. Next, we undocked and set off for a long day of sailing. I (Finn) started us off on the man overboard drills and practicing the heave to maneuver. Tatum showed her impressive skills in throwing Bobby (the man overboard drill dummy) over quite well and also her impressive mooring hooker skills getting Bobby out of the water.

Meanwhile, Oskar enjoyed some Skittles. Georgina (Lanie) was very helpful in gifting everyone fruity pebbles while watching the Telltales on the sail. Lulu was initially nervous to take the helm and do these advanced maneuvers. However, she became much more comfortable by the time her turn was over. Eres, when it was her turn on the helm, almost made Shona pee her pants three times with her ability to manage jokes out of everything. After sailing, we had some beach time, but first, we had to scrub the Dinghys, which Ellery was very good at. Once we got on the beach, Payton went crazy, juking everyone out in tag. On the way back from the beach, William showed off his hidden Dinghy driving skills with a perfect approach to the boat. After that, we showered, and I (Finn) got pushed in the water a lot by Tatum. It was a great sailing and beach day today.

P.S. Most of this was from me (Tatum) because I didn’t write much on my day. Love you, Mom and Dad and everyone who is reading this 🙂
