Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
We started the day with a pancake breakfast from chefs Emme and Oon. After a great meal, we left at 9:20 and sailed for almost 4 hours. Blake and Joey steered the boat almost the entire time. Unfortunately, I (Brian) got seasick halfway through the voyage, but I was feeling better by the end of it. We all relaxed, read books, and played cards to pass the time. Everyone worked hard to bring up the main sail and jib. When we got there, we had lunch, with sandwiches, and all of the bread, jam, peanut butter, turkey and more were brought in by gopher Sophia, and we luckily did not have to clean plates afterwards, but Breccan and Oey worked hard as deckies cleaning the floor after we had all left. After lunch, we got ready to Scuba dive, and we all got split into groups. Blake, Emme, Pierce, Breccan, Sophie, and I were with Amanda, while Malika, Oey, Oon, Izzy, Mengmei, and Sophia were with Grace. In my group, we practiced clearing our masks, hovering over the water, and locating our regulators after we had thrown them out. We didn’t see much on our dive, but it was good to dive again after a while, and I think everyone would agree with that. For dinner, we had pasta with garlic bread, hot dogs, and salad. For the squeeze, I asked, ” Would you rather go back in the past, or go into the future. There was a lot of variety in the reasons for the future or the past. They ranged from riding Megalodons to robbing banks during the cowboy times. After dinner, Salties and Freshies, Blake, Pierce, and Sophie did a good job cleaning all of the bowls and dishes. After dinner, Breccan saw a giant stingray come right up next to the boat. After dinner clean up, we had a dive chat, and we ended the day looking forward to our dive tomorrow.
