Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

Hi, my name is Arhan, and I am your skipper for day 14. We had a very fun day starting off with a late wake-up call at 7:30. Conrad and Sienna, being the chefs, brought out oatmeal for breakfast, which everyone enjoyed before we started sailing towards Salt Island. Our short journey was but an hour. Upon arrival, we took our sailing exam, which went well, especially for Lily, who got the highest score on the test. A few minutes after the exam, we took a dinghy to another boat in the fleet called Second Wind. We then dove off there and saw a very cool shipwreck from the 1800s called The Rhone. The Rhone is a big shipwreck ranging from 20-100ft and would take 2-3 dives to fully complete, but we had a good time with just one. We reached a maximum elevation of 60ft and swam around.

We looked up close with many interesting fish and coral on top of the ancient wreck, with some being massive crabs, colorful fish, and even some sharks. We saw many parts of the shipwreck ranging from the bow to even the huge propeller, which we swam through. Adnan also got some extra dive time to make up a dive, which he greatly enjoyed. Our groups also made up skills and dives so that now everyone in the group is PADI Junior Diver certified. After our ascent, we made our way back to the boat, where we ate sandwiches for lunch, swam around our anchor, and got on shoes before getting picked up in the dinghy and making our way onto Salt Island. We played in the water where we were all swimming. After swimming for a few minutes, we made our way up the hill for the hike while passing Salt Lake, which is an extremely salty lake which is, where a ritual takes place there every year where they bring food and drinks and take salt out of the lake.

We finally got to the top of the hill, and we also saw Friendship‘s group, and we both had an amazing view of the ocean, and where Noah got a very cool photo while sitting on the edge of the rocks. We made our way down, where we saw Second Wind‘s group, and we swam in the ocean for 45 minutes, where an intense chicken fight ensued with me and Adnan, Cameron and Giles, Caitlin and Sienna, Jacob and Noah, Jasper also with Cameron, and Conrad also with Adnan. It was a tough fight, and the winner was undecided. We made our way back to our boat, where we chilled, swam, some slept, and Arden prepped dinner. We then made our sail to __. It was a short sail with music and fun. As we arrived, we ate breakfast for dinner and then did a squeeze. As I am the skipper, for the question of the day, I chose What was your childhood nickname. As an example, Alexa‘s nickname as a kid was Lex. We then got started dishy pit and decky and overall just cleaning the boat. And now, here I am, writing as your skipper of the day. Thanks for reading. Until next time.
