Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

Hey parents! It’s Eve as your skipper again for today!

Today started off with a 7:30 am wake-up to French toast made by today’s chefs, Catalina and Hudson. The staff were at their meeting this morning while we ate, and when they got back, we got our PFDs on to motor the boat over to Green Cay for the day. I took the helm and got us over here! Once we anchored here, we set up our dive gear and practiced a bunch more rescue saves using floatation devices such as BCD’s and fenders. Once we were finished with our rescue training this morning, our chefs prepped lunch which was chicken salad wraps! Yum. After lunch, we cleaned up and then did our last search and recovery dive today! Lorden, Tyler, Alana, and I were in a group to find our object using one of the search patterns we learned. After this dive, we officially have our search and recovery dive specialty!! After this dive, Alexia, Catalina, Parker, Alana, Lorden, Tate, Nathan, and I were all sitting on the top of the boat, eating Oreos and talking.

While eating Oreos, we heard someone scream…we had our first surprise scenario! We had to save three distressed divers…we did a pretty good job! After the scenario, we debriefed and noted what we needed to work on. Afterward, we got in our dinghy and shuttled over to the beach for some beach time! After the beach, we took hibiclens showers! No infections on this boat! Then our chefs made some franks and beans for dinner, along with a salad! We cleaned up after, and now we are all in the saloon and doing a forum activity tonight with the staff. It has been a very fun and eventful day, and now it’s time to settle in for the night. We are all soaking in the last few days of this session and are excited to see our parents this weekend once we get home!

Have a good night, y’all!
