Hey kings and queens, it’s Rainey here with the final blog of arguably the best shape-up session of this millennium. We woke up bright and early today to get ready for RACE DAYYYYY. As skipper, I made sure everyone was up and at it while I prepared myself for the skipper’s meeting on Mike Meighan’s boat. I made sure to let the other skippers know that we would win. After the meeting, we made it back to the boat and did our pre-passage checklist for RACE DAYYYY. Although the race might not have gone our way, we were sure to remind everyone that shape-up is large and in charge despite losing. We then motored along from GHP to West End while doing boat appreciation. It was a lit time because we had good company and good tunes.
We then had a pizza lunch from Pussers. After our boat appreciation, we had some shore time to spend with each other and then took a Marina shower. Well, some of us took Marina showers, and some stayed STINKY 😒😒. We got dressed up and took some flicks for the blog and for the gram, and then did FINAL SQUEEZE. Once our stomachs were #grumbling, we ran to the BBQ. It was quite delicious and bitter-sweet. The gals then had some deep talks while watching the sunset, but the rain spoiled it :(. But no worries, but we were able to run back to the boat in time to sign flags before dock time with the others. Many chose different things to do with their allotted dock time; some went to a rave, some met TRIXY, some cried, and some just soaked in the final moments with our AQ BFFs. Now we are filling out our sailing certification books that all of us passed and enjoying our final moments before we never see each other again, lol. Alright, night night y’all ILY
