Hello, my name is Lu! I am skipper of the day. We started off the day by preparing for our sailing race. We divided up the tasks with Topher as our leader, Lou Lou, Thea, and Caroline spotting, and Jack from Tenessee helming and helping on the jib sheet with Oscar, Lyla, Jack Hoover, and Harrison. Chase and Evelyn helped with pulling down the sail. We won 4th place in the race! We were very happy with how we placed at the finish of the race (in front of Friendship). Later, we all went into town and ate bagels, and bought jewelry.
We spent a few hours there and had a chance to talk to other boats. We made friends with people from Hope and Avisia. We spent the rest of the day sailing, playing cards, and eating Oreos. The sail to GHP was technically a race, and a long one, it was. It took almost three hours to get to GHP. We were still happy to end the race in front of friendship (especially Arden). When we arrived, we created a quad raft with friendship, Hope, and Second wind on one giant mooring ball. This meant we all got to hang out, going from one boat to the next. For dinner it was Mexican night for dinner, and we all had seconds – it was really good. After all of the cleaning, we all went upstairs to do our nightly debrief.
