Below is our anticipated schedule of activities. On days marked with a *, the group will have limited access to phone and internet. While we understand families are eager for news, we ask for patience as our staff’s energy is focused on the students and the program at hand. Day 1 (July 16) – Miami to Lima – Students meet in Miami; Overnight flight to Lima
Day 2 (July 17) – Lima to Cuzco – Early morning flight to Cuzco; Student orientation, rest, and short city tour
Day 3 (July 18) – Cuzco – Full day of Casa Mantay (home for adolescent mothers) community service work
Day 4 (July 19) – Cuzco – Morning visit to the San Pedro Market; Cuzco scavenger hunt; Afternoon Saxywoman and Tambomatchy Horseback Tour
Day 5 (July 20) – Cuzco – Casa Mantay and Santa Theresa orphanage community service work
Day 6 (July 21) – Cuzco – Casa Mantay and Santa Theresa orphanage community service work
Day 7 (July 22) – Cuzco – Casa Mantay and Santa Theresa orphanage community service work
Day 8 (July 23) – Cuzco to Urubamba – Pisaq tour, llama farm & market visit, and mountain biking in the Urubamba Valley
Day 9 (July 24) – Urubamba to Ollantaytambo – Stand-up paddle boarding (Piuray Lagoon) and Chinchero textile workshop demonstration
Day 10 to 11 (July 25 to 26) – Ollantaytambo – Full days of MySmallHelp community service projects (construction and work with kids)
Day 12 (July 27) – Day hike to historic quarry
Day 13 to 15 (July 28 to 30) – Ollantaytambo – Full days of MySmallHelp community service projects (construction and work with kids)
Day 16 (July 31) – Ollantaytambo – Huerto Paraiso tour (coffee, chocolate, beekeeping, pottery demonstrations)
Day 17 to 18 (August 1 to 2) – Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu excursion including shopping and hot springs visit
Day 19 (August 3) – Ollantaytambo – Whitewater rafting excursion; River cleanup service project
Day 20 (August 4) – Ollantaytambo to Lima – Transfer to Lima; Closing program activities and final dinner
Day 21 (August 5) – Fly day
