Below is our anticipated schedule of activities. On days marked with a *, the group will have limited access to phone and internet. While we understand families are eager for news, we ask for patience as our staff’s energy is focused on the students and the program at hand. Day 1 (June 24) – Miami to Lima – Students meet in Miami; Overnight flight to Lima
Day 2 (June 25) – Lima to Cuzco – Early morning flight to Cuzco; Student orientation, rest, and short city tour
Day 3 (June 26) – Cuzco – Full day of Casa Mantay (home for adolescent mothers) community service work
Day 4 (June 27) – Cuzco – Morning visit to the San Pedro Market; Afternoon Saxywoman and Tambomatchy Horseback Tour
Day 5 (June 28) – Cuzco – Cuzco scavenger hunt; Santa Theresa orphanage community service work
Day 6 (June 29) – Cuzco – Full day of Casa Mantay (home for adolescent mothers) community service work
Day 7 (June 30) – Cuzco to Urubamba – Pisaq tour, llama farm & market visit, and mountain biking in the Urubamba Valley
Day 8 (July 1) – Urubamba to Ollantaytambo – Stand-up paddle boarding (Piuray Lagoon) and Chinchero textile workshop demonstration
Day 9 to 11 (July 2 to 4) – Ollantaytambo – Full days of MySmallHelp community service projects (construction and work with kids)
* Day 12 to 15 (July 5 to 8) – “On trail” – Laras hike and camping trip
Day 16 (July 9) – Ollantaytambo – Huerto Paraiso tour (coffee, chocolate, beekeeping, pottery demonstrations)
Day 17 to 18 (July 10 and 11) – Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu excursion including shopping and hot springs visit
Day 19 (July 12) – Ollantaytambo – Whitewater rafting excursion
Day 20 (July 13) – Ollantaytambo to Lima – Transfer to Lima; Closing program activities and final dinner
Day 21 (July 14) – Fly day
