Location: West End, Tortola
As the sun’s rays peeked over the rolling hills of Tortola, soft music from our morning music played at an early 6am. We shook the fatigue from our bodies and prepped ourselves for the long day ahead of us. We ate a breakfast of cereal and apples, and then got ready for Mike’s talk and about rules and guidelines. After we were given a bit of free time, which was a great time to buy some final snacks. Soon we found ourselves back on the boat motoring away from the ActionQuest dock. Some of us had our first sailing experience. As we moved on our way to Norman Island using our motor and sail, we bonded sitting in the sun. Once we arrived near the caves of Norman Island, all of completed our swim tests and got ready for a snorkel at The Caves. We ate lunch and watched our fellow shipmates of other boats boar our boat to gather equipment for their snorkel. We then traveled a short distance to The Bight, where we are spending the night. We ate delicious Sloppy Joe’s cooked up by Laini as the sun passed over the horizon, leading to the end of a wonderful day.
