Location: The Bight, Norman Island

This morning the sun woke us up early at around 5:45, but we stayed in bed until 7. Once we were ready for the day and ate breakfast, we headed over to an all-camp meeting with the director Mike. After that was over, we had about half an hour of land time before heading back to our boats to leave for Norman Islands. On land, Zora, Sovo, Moseley, and Scottie got some delicious smoothies! On our sail over to Norman Island, we learned how to get the jib sail out. Quin and Helen helped out Margaux on the lines. As we pulled into the island, I helped out Amanda short-line the dinghy, and Gabe, Tucker, and Skyann helped Mac get the boat tied up to the mooring ball. Once we arrived at Normal Island, we ate deli sandwiches and then took our swimming test, which included four consistent laps around the boat and treading water for 10 minutes while we played music and talked. Afterward, we took the dinghy in groups to snorkeling. We snorkeled around caves and saw tons of different kinds of fish. This was Hunter, Moseley, and Megan’s favorite part of the day. When we came back, we took ocean showers. Afterward, we had our first dive chat, then had dinner, which was Sloppy Joe’s, and a beautiful sunset. Then we continued our dive chat from before and finished the night with brownies and a round of uno before we went to bed. Such a great day!
