RHONE DAY!!! The day we all look forward to since day one. Staff was awake and ready at 3 am for their morning dive while we were awoken with the DELIGHTFUL music blasting through the whole boat and immediately thrown into a dance on the top deck to Sand Storm. I was still half asleep after the whole thing. Other than the new certified dive masters who stayed on Nomada to lead dives, everyone else on the boat was moved to Friend Ship to take our sailing test. We don’t know if we have passed yet, but we are hopeful. After relaxing in the shade of the boat our next activity, which was a hike on Salt Island, we learned the history behind it and saw some beautiful views from the tops of the hills, which Stella and Kate enjoyed taking pictures of. We then took a perilous journey on the dinghy with Tony, where the waves and speed sent us flying out of our seats. Avery said she actually found it fun. After then getting back to our boat safely and in one piece, we had Ramen noodles for lunch made by Kate and Harry, then got ourselves ready for the part of the day we were all excited for. So, we got our diving kit ready and buddy checks done so we could quickly jump into the water. I was being led by Lauren, with Lana and Harry in my group; Lana took some amazing videos and photos on her GoPro and took lots of photos of everyone. Aubrey and Georgia got some great photos together because of it. We dived through a shipwreck, and Lauren especially enjoyed diving through the propeller of the wreck. Lucas saw a big lobster that a lot of us missed, which he was very proud of spotting. Ned was also a sea creature that we were all disappointed in missing which was a shark! We all loved the dive anyhow, and all think it’s our favorite dive yet as even though we may not have seen a shark, we all did see eagle rays and more bright and colorful fish. As well as being skipper for the day, I also was the chef. Me and Lana cooked a well-appreciated dinner which was breakfast for dinner, pancakes, French toast, sausages, and eggs. The food nearly disappeared in an instant. For today’s squeeze, we appreciate our favorite childhood memories and more stories of the day, and more thoughts were shared than we thought there would be. It was a long squeeze. But all is well, and today lived up to our hopes, full of dances, laughs, and colorful fish.
