Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today is day 9, and I can’t believe that we’re already almost halfway through the trip! Today when we woke up, Kackie made us some breakfast burritos that were super yummy. Right after that, we went scuba diving. The dive was so cool, and I would say it was the best one yet. During the dive, we brought slates to draw some of the fish we saw so we could go back to the boat after and look at them in the fish ID book. When we were diving, we also saw an eagle ray and a huge school of tarpon. After our dive, we went to some other boats for rotations. First, we went to “Meow or Never” for a relay race which included tying knots and racing on paddle boards.
Julian figured out how to put Netflix on the GPS chart plotter, so Myles, Carlo, Alta, and I all watched SING the movie. After that rotation, it was wakeboarding rotation. Me, Riley, Maya, Asa, and Ana all went wakeboarding. We all did some really big jumps, and everybody is improving a lot. After wakeboarding, Mattie P took me, Asa, and Riley, for zoomies on the super dingy. We then went back to the boat for lunch. Davis made some really good grilled cheese that Julian, Sophie, and I also helped with. Kackie then went over the man overboard procedure and showed us parts of the boat. Alta and Sophie hung out on the boat the whole day and had a chill day, and they read a lot. After, Lilly, Ana, Shane, and I went swimming and found some cool shells and jellyfish 🪼. Davis cooked risotto for dinner, and then we listened to music and did our chores. Overall it was an amazing day, and I can’t wait for the sail tomorrow, and I hope everyone is doing well at home!
