Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola

Hey, it’s Sam again! Around 7:30, we woke up and put on our bathing suits. We went on deck for a breakfast of oatmeal and fruit made by Tait. After breakfast, we filled up our water bottles and headed off to the beach. Once we got to the beach, we started picking up all the trash we found in between the rocks. While picking up trash, Grayson found a blowup orca, and we named her Athena. After picking up trash, we played football while Mina, Riley, Amelia, and Tait were in the water. Once we all got tired of running around, we all went into the water and started a chicken fight tournament. Peyton and I were undefeated and were crowned with the victory. Hayley stood on Riley’s shoulders and did the coolest backflip I’ve ever seen.

After the ride back to the boat, Tait started to prepare the quesadillas for lunch, and we tied Athena to the back of the boat. You could tell the quesadillas were delicious because no crumb was left on our plates (meaning Oscar ate five and had to be cut off). Once lunch cleanup was over, Grayson took us off the anchor, and we headed to Tortola. Peyton, Mina, Constantin, and I all helmed so that we could refill our water. Once we refilled our water supply, Amelia was helming, and Peyton tried around her and took the wrong step and fell into the lifelines. Watching her lay there and laugh in pain was the highlight of my day (Peyton approved that sentence). Shortly after, we had our sail training of the day. We learned what to do if there is a man overboard. We tossed a fender (we named him Larry) and acted like he was the man overboard. After the sail training, we caught a mooring ball and ordered take-out. While we were waiting for our food, the whole boat played Mafia. All of our faces lit up once we saw Riley and Tait arrive with all the bags of food. For dinner, I had fish and chips, but others had pasta, ribs, sandwiches, or burgers. Now, the girls are about to watch Mama Mia 2 while the boys chill up on deck. These past two weeks have gone by so quickly, and I am so sad we only have seven days left!
