We woke up early for a morning excursion in the rainforest. Our adventure consisted of tree climbing, wilderness survival, and fun (of course). We learned how to make blowguns, baskets, and backpacks. Also, Hector showed us a delicacy of the rainforest, lemony ants. After cracking open a certain plant, hundreds of ants came pouring out. They were delicious but aggressive, and many of us ended up with bites on our tongues. Even after our impromptu snack, we needed lunch. Returning to the huts we had a tasty feast and then went piranha fishing! We caught two fish… Thanks to James and our guide. Our night consisted of charades, bonfire discussions, and relaxing in hammocks. It was a fantastic last day in Sumakalpa.
