Today, we all woke up already sad. Thankfully, the storm had passed, so we woke up to mostly clear skies. The staff had a meeting, so Emily prepared oatmeal for everyone while Henry, Koko, pepper, and I finished our cards for each other. We had a slower morning because all the staff were at a staff meeting. Once they were back, we motor sailed to our last stop and docked for the day. We spent the rest of the morning and the early afternoon doing a deep clean of the boat, which was definitely not the highlight of my day but was needed. Mac, Louise, and Ava deckied for maybe 2 hours straight, and we were all kinda losing it by the end. Aleks and Niko finished the last part of the cleaning as everyone else waited for them to be done so we could go to shore. Let’s just say that tensions were high, but it was all good once everyone had eaten. We spent time on shore and then came back to the boat to shower and get ready for the last barbecue. After we ate, all the students sat and listened to Mike give an end-of-session talk. Then everyone went back to their boats to have a great but depressing last night. This was one of the most amazing experiences for all of us, and I know every one of us will miss each other a lot.
