Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Hey everybody! Today is the day we embarked on our first journey on the ocean. We woke up early and listened to Mike, the director of AQ, speak about the basics of the summer and what to expect. After the speech, we boarded our boat, named the Harbor House Out, and prepared to venture off into the boundless sea for our first excursion as a group. We set our sail after about 20 minutes of being on the boat with the help of Finley, Skye, and River. The wind caught fast, and we were off to the races. Amelia and I got ourselves on a mooring ball along the edge of an island that had caves in which we snorkeled after our swim test. The touch of the water felt beyond refreshing in the heat, and everybody enjoyed the time spent in it today. Adrien, Skye, River, Ani, Mackenzie, Ada, and I all attempted to blow bubble rings under the crystal clear water. After swimmin,g we headed back on the boat and sailed about 10 minutes over to a cove where we ate sloppy joes and will be spending the night.
