Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
We woke up bright and early to a beautiful sunrise. Immediately we started motoring and ate breakfast on the way. It was a rough morning heading towards Salt Island. When we arrived our sailing test began. Everyone kind of rushed because we were too excited to go diving. The wreck of the Rhone was the sunken ship that we were going to dive. Everybody finished their test and we headed off to the dive boat. We had been waiting for this moment for a long time, but today was finally the day. We set up our gear and we were off and diving. Today’s dive was 40 to 50ft deep, which was awesome. We spotted some sharks, turtles, and tons of cool fish. Thirty minutes passed and we had to go back to the dive boat. Even though the dive was kind of short, we had a blast. After the dive was over we went on a hike to see more of Salt Island. Apparently the Queen of England gets a bag of salt from the island each year to have with her food as a tradition. We went to the top of the hill and looked beyond the rocks and cliffs. The view was stunning and beyond what I could ever explain. The day was soon heading to a close, but we ended the day with a good movie night. Moana was a good end to the day and a great end to the last few days left. Today was amazing and I can’t wait to spend one more full day in the BVI.
