Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today was yet another day of sailing and diving but to new extremes. We woke up at about 7 am after the party in Leverick Bay last night. We had over a 3-hour sail this morning to Great Harbor Point, so we had no time to waste. We decided to eat breakfast while underway to save time. Today, for breakfast, we had bagels and yogurt. I personally took advantage of the long sail to catch up on some sleep, as did the others. When we got to GHP, we ate lunch, which were deli sandwiches today. After that, we set up our gear for diving, and students from other boats came over so we could dive with them. As we got ready to go, a huge thunderstorm came through, so we had to wait a little bit for the rain to pass. What made today’s dive so special was that it was our first deep dive of the session. Today, we reached a maximum depth of 81 feet! We later had some post-dive fun when Jake set up a boom swing for us to jump off of the side of the boat. It also started pouring rain again during this time, which was nice after being in the saltwater all day. Everyone just hung around and did various things, and eventually, the rotation of water sports began. Some people went to go water skiing, knee boarding, and wakeboarding. At the same time, others stayed on the boat and lounged around for a little longer. Once the water sports people came back to the boat, we ate some dinner, took some showers, and wrapped up the night. We are about to see Pirates of the Caribbean because, surprisingly, many people have not seen it before.
