Location: West End, Tortola
Hey, family, it’s Charly. Today is a sad day. Today was the final day of AQ; tomorrow, everyone will pack up their bags and leave. Today, we did our final dive at the Indians. It was a super diverse reef along a rock wall. For our final dive, we briefed Jake Gordon and Megan, who shared some inspirational quotes. We then sailed to West End ( back to the beginning). We did a boat appreciation, meaning that we cleaned the ENTIRE boat until it was Jake-approved, which had to be really clean. This meant scrubbing the windows, cabins, doors, heads, floors, and all the corners. It was a big job, but it really made a difference. We then got shore time on West End where we all shared a meal at Pussers. We went shopping and all spent the day together. After shore time, we began to get ready for the BBQ. The BBQ was hosted at Omar’s Coffee Shop, and the food was really good. We had either burgers and hot dogs or curry and rice. After the BBQ, we did the flag-cutting, and Mike gave his closing speech by briefing us and reading “The Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss. It was a great day, and it is safe to say we will all miss AQ a lot. Bye, Families. See you soon!!! – Love Charly
