Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today I woke up at 6:45 to the sound of interesting hype music. I was sleeping on a couch-type thingy (the blue lagoon) next to Gwyneth. After everybody was awake, we all had breakfast, which was cereal. We also had a melon that Ellie cut up for us. After everybody finished eating and getting ready, we walked over to where our meeting with Mike was. It was very, very, very long but also very informational. I then had to go to the market because I lost my toothbrush…. But it’s good because I have a new minion one now. We then undocked and started to head out on the boat. We sailed for around two hours before stopping to take our swim test and eat lunch. The swim test was five laps around the boat, which was easy, but I think some people had to do six because they touched the boat. After that, we had to tread water for 10 minutes, which was surprisingly easy. While we were reading, we listened to All Too Well by Taylor Swift 10 10-minute version. We all got out and then had our sandwiches, which were very good. We then headed out to meet two people who were coming to our boat from the airport, Ollie and Clark. Next, we headed out to sail to Mountain Point, and it was lots of fun because we got to learn how to actually sail. Ayden taught us all about how to set up the sails, and Clark, Gwyneth, Ellie, and Anzie raised the main sail, with the help of Anika, who spotted to make sure the sail did not get caught.
Ollie and Sky learned how to do the helm, which is where you steer the boat (Ayden was very impressed with their skills). Reed, Graham, Noah, and Sky practiced tying their knots and are really good at the clove hitch and coils. When we were on our way, we saw dolphins that swam in front of our boat, and it was very cool (Mackenzie and Anzie were especially excited). Once we arrived, we put the anchor down and took our ocean showers. For dinner, we had sloppy joes and had two guests, Mike and Jo. For our squeeze, we did hide and seek, and Bryan won. I was the seeker, and it was actually surprisingly hard to find people. Now we are cleaning up after dinner, and I am writing this. We will probably play spoons with cards later, after our dive chats. Okay, that’s it. Hi, mom and dad. Okay bye!!!
