Location: Sommer's Beach, Tortola
Dear parents, today was very eventful and fun. We started the day by having a delicious breakfast, eggs, and cinnamon swirl cooked by Poppy and Zach. Afterward, we all went on a dive. My advanced group, led by Toby, all went on a deep dive for about 70 feet. We practiced different skills, such as observing color loss through depth due to light loss. We observed pressure underwater by conducting various small experiments. Bea marked a water bottle to guess how much air would be in the water bottle at the bottom. Max and Jorge were playing with an egg whose yolk didn’t break after cracking it at the bottom. Then we went on a hike that Zach, Raiden, Max, and Jorge ran up and down to get prepared for our big hike in 2 days. Jimena, Loren, Margo, Lulu, Aliya, Poppy, Bea, and I walked and watched over a beautiful cliff at the top of the small mountain. It was so pretty, and the view was so good.
After the hike, we went back to our boat to use the boom swing and get some rest. We saw dolphins at the bay, and they were so cool. Aliya, Margo, Bea, and Lulu were tanning inside the dinghy beside the boat. After, we left the bay to go to the beach BBQ. We triple rafted with Second Wind and Vela Vita while getting ready. We went to the BBQ and it was so fun. While there, Max, Jorge, and Raiden were tackling our counselors into the water. We also saw dolphins again during the sunset. We got back and talked to the other boats until 10:30. Everyone was so tired and fell asleep fast on the bow of the boat. Bye guys!
