Hello again lovely readers!! This is Ada for a double night of blog writing! Today we had (drum roll please) another rotation day!! First we started off our morning with delicious french toast cooked by Bella, Kellan, and Jacob. We continued our morning by going over the bowline knot, cleat hitch, and clove hitch. A few of us were even taught how to drive the dinghies! Grace came off as a natural pro. On the other hand, I bumped into another boat. Next rotation was water sports. We were short on dinghies, so only Kellan, Jane, and Margot went out. Unfortunately, Margot’s elbows got even more bruised. Our final rotation was definitely the chillest. We were dropped on a small beach in front of our boats where paddle boards and the zests were beached. Bella and Chloe along with Jacob spent ages on the zests and are now going D1. Sam, Molly and Grace glided around on a paddle board, while George, Kellan, Margot, Maci, and I enjoyed flipping each other’s boards over. Towards the end, Margot and Kellan developed the strategy of tanning on the back of the boards while George paddles them around. Finally, we made it to lunch and had some basic PB & J’s. However, we dove right into a dive chat with Luke right after lunch (pun intended). We learned how to use a dive chart (very complicated) and had to take two extremely hard quizzes that took forever. Fortunately, we all passed. Instead of ocean showers we took actual showers in our rooms today and used our hibicleans soap. We had the opportunity to go to shore today where most of us spent a butt load of money on snacks and Nutella. As most of y’all know, we were able to spend a short amount of time on our phones today. To finish the night we had a barbecue including all of the boats, dive side and sail side. There even was DJ called DJ Heavy beats with 10/10 beats. We all had a blast dancing on the dance floor and socializing with boats we haven’t met before. We are all exhausted and are excited to be able to sleep in tomorrow morning!
Adios!
