Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Hello everyone, and happy 4th. Today started with a nice sleep-in followed by a wonderful breakfast of cereal. We then set sail to Salt Island so we could partake in a fun dive exploring the site of a shipwreck. When we arrived at our anchor spot for the day, we were met with cold and rain, but we didn’t let that ruin our spirits. We made the most of it and had a lot of fun taking photos and hanging out in our holiday-themed outfits. Jordan, Rachel, and Catherine had a dance party to some nice America themed country music while Claire and Greta made a delicious lunch of ramen for the group. After lunch, we had some more free time to do as we pleased, where Ella made a friendship bracelet for our skipper, Garrett. Also during this time, Arden made turks-head bracelets for Freddy, Tucker, and Greta. Finally, it was time for us to dive! Our dive site was the site of the Rhone, a British mail-carrier ship from the 19th century that unfortunately sank during a hurricane but, fortunately for us, created a very fun diving experience. We dove to around 60 feet (our deepest dive yet and the maximum depth allowed by our certifications!). This dive also granted Alyssa, Jordan, Molly, and Brig their official certifications. Tucker, who has been battling a cold, is finally back in the water and is healthy enough to get one dive closer to achieving his certification. Hopefully, he will be able to achieve this goal tomorrow! After our dive, we then sailed back to our anchorage, where we spent the night prior and created a quad raft with the three other boats on our sail-side (Shamwari, Frenchie, and Alpenglow). We then had a delectable dinner of Mexican once again prepared by our chefs, Claire and Greta, with the help of food safety certified Carson. After dinner, we all mingled with the other boats we were rafted with and made lots of new friends! Hope everyone is doing well and had a great holiday!
See you soon,
