Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today started off in Marina Cay, where I woke up at 5:45 am and watched the sunrise. At around breakfast time, Mackenzie and Ayden left for a staff meeting. Avi and Aggie made a delicious pancake and pineapple breakfast, as well as a pot of coffee, which helped us all through a long day of diving and sailing. After motoring to Trellis Bay, we had downtime where we stocked up on snacks and had an amazing lunch (Lila had the “best salmon bowl of her life”) while Jaden and Avi played an intense game of giant Jenga. Aggie, Alex, Juliette, Hayden, and Wylie hung out with a kid from another boat and played soccer. Wylie and I bought coconuts and drank them on the way back to the boat. We chilled on the boat until our laundry arrived, then we went to Musk Melon, where we had dinner with Aggie and Avi (Veggie Tikka Masala and rice). Alex and I went on a tank run to James’ boat (under pressure) in preparation for the night dive that all of AQ participated in. Then we went on the night dive, which was very good; we saw a turtle and some octopuses. Finally, we went back to the boat for a night shower with some falling in the water (Wylie and Tyler). Then we wrote Juliette’s letter as she’s sadly leaving on day 14.
P.S. Love you, Mum and Dad, hope you’re having fun, talk soon.
