Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today, we started off the day with a staff meeting, leaving it to us to make breakfast for ourselves. Ellery and Lila took charge and cheffed us up some delicious pancakes. However, they couldn’t have done it without Shane’s help. After breakfast, we did an amazing, fun dive at the Kraken wreck. Lilly had so much fun going in the different tunnels. We got to see a little bit of the inside, and I saw so many fish and lots of coral. It was breathtaking and a miracle we got to see it due to it surviving Pearl Harbor and being a crabbing boat until a hurricane hit it. The vessel finally sunk. Me and logan had the best time in the wreck, however we were running a bit low on air so we went up and surfaced along with everyone else. After the dive, all of us had a delicious lunch of Ramen noodles. While we were underway, Wylie, Asa, Riley, and I napped on the trampoline. Once we were finished sailing, we all cleaned up the boat for a spotless vessel. We all got in the water, Asa, Tatum, Riley, Lanie, and wylie did backflips off the boat. We got set up for our night dive. In order to night dive we needed to cook an early and hearty dinner.
While dinner was in the making, Gabi, Shane, Tatum, Asa, and I went for Zoomies, and the rest of us went after in Rango, our super dinghy. Dinner was delicious. It was chili and rice; however, some people wanted to have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Unfortunately, Logan was having ear issues, so he could not be my buddy on this dive. Tommy (the staff) and I were buddies. The night dive was so cool, when we got down it was pitch black so we turned on our flashlights and noticed a stingray was following the trail of sand we left behind. On the night dive, we saw many creatures like an octopus, shrimp, lobsters, crabs, and much more, stopping for each one and watching how it works when the sun is down. The dive was so calm and peaceful that Tommy and I enjoyed going over the reefs. Asa and Wylie enjoyed it as well, seeing funny creatures and blocking their flashlights. This was today’s blog. Have a good night and goodbye.
