Location: White Bay, Peter Island
We started our day with some of the best sleeping weather we could have asked for, no rain, a little wind and not a cloud in the sky. Some people were woken up by a few dogs barking and a chicken or two, but I never heard them. We got up and we all were packing up and getting ready for the day very quickly. Cereal, nothing better to start off your day. Then we all settled in and endured the long introductory speech about all of the safety and life onboard. Let me just say, the speech is important, but it took so long. We were rewarded with time on shore so we could buy food for the upcoming journey. It did not take long, and we had time to bond as a boat and to get to know the people on our new floating home. I can tell that this will be an interesting group just by looking at them. At around 10:30, we were sailing. We wound up in White Bay where we would take our swim test. We all did a great job and we also did well in the scuba refresher. I guess you would count it as our first dive, but it was nothing but review. After a nice “shower” (people jumping in the water after lathering themselves with soap) we got to chill. Right now, Hannah and Tanner are making dinner, I don’t know what it is but it smells good. I assume we will do something later today, but I don’t know what it is, I don’t even care what it is, I know it will be fun. Now they are serving dinner, so I have to go! Good night!
