Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
This morning we woke up after partying at the BBQ the night prior. We ate cereal for breakfast and then headed out. Today we had our sail practical. First we started doing a man overboard test. If someone falls out you shout man overboard, assign a spotter, throw a flotation device, and steer at a beam reach. Then you steer six boatlengths away and tack. Tacking is where you turn your bow through the wind. You steer at a beam reach and then turn downwind. We also did sail circles. That is where you sail at different points in the wind. Today was a lot of fun.
