Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola

Our day started with a sleep in (7:45 yay!) followed by our long-awaited pancakes with Nutella! We then started our rotation: some of us went wakeboarding and waterskiing in our mighty dinghy Rango, while me, Alex, Blair, and Heather went sailing in the two-person boats called Zests. Alex and I even managed to dry capsize; the wind was swirly and inconsistent. Lunch was prepared by our talented chefs with the help of our 3 Michelin star chef Claire, and after some quick fresh water showers, we left the calm waters of Muskmelon Bay on Guana Island for the north side of Tortola. We had an exciting downwind sail in which we took turns at the helm and lines and laughed while we were jibing. Time went by so quickly, with most of us singing childhood songs in the cockpit and braiding each other’s hair. Once we arrived at Cane Garden Bay, we served dinner and got ready for a sail chat while looking over the hills we are going to climb tomorrow on the hike. We’re both excited and dreading it, but we know it’s gonna be lots of fun, like everything here is!!! Of course, we’ll try to get a good night’s sleep the night before the longest day of the program!
