Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
My shipmates and I woke up to the smell of French toast and a beautiful blue sky in Marina Cay. After breakfast, we were able to play our favorite tunes whilst we cleaned the boat as the staff briefly left the boat for a meeting. On the way to Trellis Bay, we were able to master our tacking, jibing, and piloting skills as well as practicing our man overboard procedure with a fender. When we got to Trellis Bay, everyone was able to touch base with their families, as well as buying and sharing large tubs of ice cream, which no one had had in a long time. Despite a light wind, we arrived in Muskmelon Bay with lots of time to spare. We spent the rest of the evening jumping in the water and trying to persuade Rachel to do a back-flip off the back of the boat. During our dinner of chili and rice, we were distracted from our meal by the splashes of flying fish and the stunning backdrop of the bright orange sun disappearing below the horizon.
