Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
The day started with a breakfast of yummy pancakes. Evan and Lyla made some delicious pancakes early in the morning, and Reese and I made banana pancakes while the staff were at a meeting. Then we motored over to Mountain Point, dove Kodiak Queen, and saw some cool things; Jackson and Hays saw a slippery lobster. Another amazing thing that was seen was a lionfish found by Ari and Matthew! All in all, it was a very cool wreck. It was actually a boat from Pearl Harbor! After the dive, we sailed on a long sail to Musk Melon Bay. On the way, some of the girls tanned and mostly everyone took some naps.
The boys, Reese, Kate, and Sam, helped sail. Once we arrived, Sienna and Megan went for a snorkel before everyone else did and saw some pretty cool fish! Sadly, the ladder broke, but Jake came to the rescue. A little while later, it was time to eat dinner. We had some delightful chili. We all had a nice meal together and chatted. After dinner, it was time to clean up dinner and get ready to dive! As it was time to dive, we all hopped in the water, and it started to get very dark. At first, the night dive was scary, but then it was such a cool feeling to see the wildlife at a different time. I think we all very much enjoyed it. On the dive it was a “Sand Highway”, sand in the middle, coral walls on the outside. The wildlife really comes out to visit at night. When we all returned from the dive, Joe made some wonderful brookies (cookies and brownies)! Such a good after dive sweet treat. We showered after, and now it’s time to hit the hay!
