Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola

Today, we woke up, rafted to Why Knot. After a rough night’s sleep for many, we ate oatmeal for breakfast and got ready. We began the day by zesting and paddleboarding around the rocks. Tom, Jerry, and Tom saw an iguana on land. We waved goodbye to our Ecuadorian friends, Lexi, Zoe, and Emma, as they headed to the airport to fly home after their 14-day course 😒. Then, we headed over to Nacho Dingy to set up our tanks. Today, we reached our maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet). Eva, Tom B, and I saw a Lionfish, lobster, and Eel. Anzies’ group of August, Madi, and Sadie saw a stingray. After completing a dive around the reef wall, we surfaced, doing fun breathing tricks during our safety stop like blowing O’s. Once we surfaced, we did our final required trick of blowing up a diver below a sign. Then we were all officially certified as open water divers!! Following our successes in the course, we went home to Oryx to find Annika making quesadillas, which everyone ate at least two or three of. After lunch, we chilled out, tanning and hanging out with the group from Nomada. August and the Toms caught a jellyfish and put it in counselor Mia’s water bottle, which she drank from before realizing!! We had early ocean showers and sailed over to Cane Garden Bay, docking to retrieve some water and then mooring up for the night. Dinner was made by Lucy and Madi, chicken pesto pasta 😝. After doing the wobble, we did our jobs and are now waiting on sail chat before we watch Pirates of the Caribbean later. Top-tier preparation for our early morning hike tomorrow!
