It’s Arya, back with another update. Our morning consisted of us being rudely awakened by the sound of music. Last night was yet another late night of chatting about the most random stuff. We stayed up till 12 am, early enough to wish Louis a happy birthday. Once everyone was awake, the gang gathered together for a delicious brekkie of scrambled eggs, fruit, and buttered toast cooked by Axel and Dani, who were the chef and sous chef. We were underway to our next dive site, Monkey Point for our first research dive. After enjoying a rainy brekkie, Maeve got out the delicious cinnamon sugar muffins that she made, with a little candle to celebrate Louis’ birthday. Everyone was obsessed with Maeve’s muffin cake because it was sooooooo delicious. After spending a couple of hours sailing, we finally got to our dive site.
The ten dolphins split into two groups to work on their research projects while Leo and Harrison enjoyed a fun dive. The two groups split into the Coral group and the Parrotfish group. The dive site we went to wasn’t a very healthy reef, and our research dives didn’t quite go our way. After putting our gear away (which always feels extremelyyyyyy long), we set sail again to Somers Beach. Underway, some of us finished our fish ID books and enjoyed a lunch of Tuscan Bean Soup. Don’t ask why we’re having hot soup in the middle of the Caribbean. Finally, we reached our destination and anchored down a few miles away from the beach. We enjoyed some free time tanning, swimming, and relaxing. Afterward, the girls got ready for our beach barbecue with the other boats, which also celebrated Louis’ birthday. Now we’re just waiting for the dinghy to pick us up around 6:30 (so let’s say we’re fashionably early).
