Today was an amazing day for side by side. We started our morning with oatmeal and then got ready for another rotation day. Our first activity was sailing the zests and paddle boarding. The wind was super strong and knocked the boom off of Leuck and Charlie’s boat. They required some rescuing but made it safely back to land, thanks to Margaux. After that, we took out the dingies for some water skiing, wakeboarding, and knee boarding. Cate showed off her knee boarding skills and had tons of fun. Next up on the agenda was a lesson on coral reefs taught by Ben. We all learned the importance of keeping our reefs safe and how to do so when scuba diving. For our last rotation, we got the chance to go out and learn how to drive the dingies. Luke made us all dizzy with his donuts but impressed us with his driving and parking skills. When we got back to the boat, it was time for showers and phone calls home. Emerson and Gianna especially loved having the opportunity to talk to their families. We also got the chance to go to land today and buy some more snacks. Tristan stayed on the boat and talked about sports injuries with Ben. Sean is most excited about the bag of chips he bought. While on land, Talia and Selah purchased some new sweatshirts from the local clothing store, Pussers. We ended the night with our very first barbeque. We all enjoyed the hamburgers and hotdogs and talking to our friends from other boats. Hugh ran into an old wrestling buddy. What a coincidence!
