Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

This morning we woke up to the song “the circle of Life” at full volume. For breakfast, we had French toast, which was by far the best breakfast we’ve had so far. It was so good. After breakfast, we did a quick turnaround to get our gear together and go for a dive. We only had one dive today, but this dive was a mission. We had to identify five vertebrates, four invertebrates, and two plants. While waiting for my ears to equalize, Mac and I saw a moon jelly and pet the top of it. After the dive, we had a couple of hours to chill before sailing to our next spot. During this time, we danced and napped. When we arrived on shore, we had lunch at a local restaurant and went shopping. Once we got back to the boat, we got our phones back. After making our calls to our parents, we had half an hour left where we all collectively agreed we didn’t really want our phones; we’d been enjoying being in the present for the past week and didn’t feel the need to be on it. After phone time, we took the dinghy to the beach with the group on another boat. We played beach volleyball, tanned, and swam. When we got back to the boat, we showered, and we girls started getting ready for the barbecue (a big deal here at action quest). 4 hours later, when we figured out our outfits, we were ready to go. The barbecue involves everyone at action quest of all ages hanging out to eat, dance and socialize. We met lots of people and made new friends. Overall we had a great day together, and I can’t wait for what comes the next two weeks!!
