Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
We began the morning by waking up at around 6:30 and making oatmeal for breakfast. After which, we sailed over to West End to get water and enjoy some shore time, where everyone visited the coffee shop and soaked in the experience. Three hours later, we left West End for Great Harbor Peter to “relax” for the rest of the day. You might be wondering why there were quotations around the word relax; that’s because of the rescue scenario that we had to resolve once we got to GHP. Before the scenario even began, we noticed bubbles in the water and immediately went into response mode, George jumped in the water, and everyone else set up gear, not even knowing if there even was a scenario. As it turns out, it was a scenario, and everyone performed admirably with few exceptions. In total, there were four divers, two distressed and two unconscious. Both of the panicked divers were living up to their roles and made life miserable for their caretakers. The two unconscious divers had some trouble on the way back to the boat; however, overall, the performance was better than in the first scenario. We got to celebrate with Mexican night while we watched a 200 ft super yacht pull in next to us in GHP. With only four days left, including travel day, everyone is starting to dread the end of the trip.
