Good evening, blog readers. My name is Alicia, and I will be writing tonight’s blog. This morning started great, we got to sleep a whole extra 30 minutes until 7:30, which is an absolute dream, especially because the coming days are about to be very busy. We made French toast for breakfast, which almost all of us enjoyed with Nutella, cooked by Tati and Anne-Faye. Jack was probably the happiest we have seen him all trip when he got to cook up some eggs and hot sauce in place of the French toast for his breakfast. After a quick breakfast, Paloma and the other sail kids pulled anchor, and we began our sail to Savannah Bay, where we would soon start the boat Olympics. Stay tuned for more details on that soon. As we sailed, Nathan, Alli, Aria, Parker, Liam, and I all started our divemaster chapters since we are about to finish all of our book work, so we decided it’s probably time to get on the grind. As we arrived in Savannah Bay, Peyton and I layered up on our zinc till we were almost purple to ensure there would be no sunburns today. We all filled our water bottles and loaded the dinghy to head to the beach and compete in a series of very intense and vigorous competitions to see who is the best boat. Before we began the competitions, we practiced some fireman carries and Oklahoma drills, which really just resulted in us getting very sandy. First, we competed in a Tug a War competition, which, as we are the oldest boat here, should have been an easy win, but instead we got our butts whopped by some 13-14-year-olds. Our second competition was a Pringle relay which your probably asking yourself what the heck is that, basically we line up and the person in the back crawls under everyones legs then run into the water and use any means necessary to bring water back up to our line where we would dump it into a small Pringle can we found out that the most effective way would mouth’sse our mouth’s so easy to say we all got our salt intake for the day. Luckily, we came in first for that one for the finale of the boat Olympics. We then did fender rodeo, which is exactly what it sounds like. You try to sit on a fender without falling off. We didn’t, but we definitely didn’t get first. Defeated, we headed back to the boat, but we had fun, so that is what really matters. We then sailed back to Mountain Point, where we will stay for the next few days, because it is shallow, therefore the divemasters can help demonstrate skills to the open water divers. We finished our night off with ocean showers and then ate some delicious chicken Caesar salad and risotto, and had a nice squeeze. Now we will finish with a dive chat and hopefully an early night.
