Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, and Good Night,
Hey, it’s Violet. Today, we had a slow morning to prepare for the long sail ahead (also, we were all sore from the hike yesterday). Addison and Prentice kicked off the day by preparing fluffy pancakes and eggs for everyone. After breakfast, we sailed from Sidney’s to Brewers Bay for turtle tagging and water sports (Aka being pulled in various ways by the dinghy). Riley set up the boom swing so we could all embody our inner Tarzan and swing off the boat like orangutans. Augusta, Addy, Grace, and Addison were in the first round of turtle tagging and got Manta towed through the water. They saw two turtles, a stingray, and some tarpon.
Meanwhile, Gigi, Prentice, Hayes, and I were getting an adrenaline rush kneeboarding around the bay. After swinging off the boom some more, both groups switched jobs. While kneeboarding, Addison spotted some dolphins, and everyone had a blast. During our turtle tagging session, we were sad that we didn’t see any turtles, but Gigi found a huge fish, and I loved getting pulled around by the dinghy. Next, We sang our way from Brewers Bay to the beach in Sandy Spits. At the beach, we played beach volleyball and cleaned the bottom of the dinghy. We all were in a good mood and enjoyed a delicious dinner of cornbread, rice, beans, and salad. As for the evening, we stuffed our faces with brownies and settled in for a quick nature documentary (seaspiracy) before heading to bed.
Signing out,
Violet M
