Ahoy, from West End, Soper’s Hole. Here on the dock, we are super excited to begin our new adventure for this year!. Our SCUBA tanks are full, our sailing lines rigged, flags flown, and our Nutella hidden. As we do our final checks and make the beds, we are eagerly awaiting our new shipmates! We are ready to DIVE DIVE DIVE. But first, let's learn a little bit about the staff team for S/V Restless!!
Kyler - Skipper, Dive Instructor, Marine Biologist
Kyler grew up worldwide, born in Australia, and moved to the UK and Canada. He earned his master’s degree in marine biology at the University of Southampton in the UK, focusing on tropical reef ecology. Kyler joined ActionQuest as a student in 2016, then attended the following year, and proceeded to do a GoBeyond trip in 2018. He has been diving for 13 years and became a dive instructor to continue his passion. He spent much of his time growing up diving, skiing, and exploring all the corners of the world. Nowadays, he trains for endurance races, such as the Ironman triathlon events, hoping to make it to the World Championships. He is ready to explore the beautiful underwater world of the BVI with the next generation of AQ students and wants to share the same experience he received, like getting caught in your hammock when it rains!
Dive Instructor/ Mate - Liam
I grew up in Albany, New York. I got into scuba diving through my parents when I was 11. Currently attending college at LeMoyne in Syracuse, majoring in Finance. I attended Action Quest for the Neptune, Rescue, and Dive Master programs and couldn’t help but come back. My favorite aspect of being an instructor is being able to watch students grow and watching the excitement that comes with diving. When I’m not diving, I can be found snowboarding, fishing, and just adventuring outside. I’m so excited to meet everyone this summer and dive in the warm water.
Vittoria - Mate
Vittoria is an Italian, born and raised in Switzerland. She has been diving since she was 10 years old and hopes to become and instructor. Vittoria completed her seamester trip doing Cape town to Antigua aboard Vela. And she just couldn’t stay away! Vittoria is a fashion student in New York and in her free time she loves to travel and all things aquatic!
