Wrapping it up in Road Town
Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
This morning we woke up in Great Harbor, Peter! All the advanced divers- Everett, Fin, Sydney, and I- went on our last and by far best dive. The Willy T is a wreck dive and attracts many tourists. We saw many coral skeletons and fish and even got to walk the plank! I think we’re all trying to make the most of everything since our time here is thinning.
Michael and Sawyer made us some amazing French toast with some heavy help from Veronika and Lucy. It was really just them cooking. Hugo and Knox went snorkeling while we were diving and reported seeing some really cool jellyfish. Henry G and Henry B helped out a bunch when tying the fenders and raising the sail when going to Road Town.
We got some shore time, which was super nice, and we all got to catch up on things at home. Although I do miss the comfort of my house, the experiences I’ve had here are truly once in a lifetime. We then sailed to Norman Island where everyone took their last saltwater shower. We took especially long today because everyone just went swimming and jumped in when they were already done with showers. It was everyone’s desperate attempt to take in the last of the Caribbean.
After that, we did one of the saddest traditions in ActionQuest. After Anzie read us a very melancholy story, we all wrote sentimental cards to each other about how we’ll miss each other dearly.
Overall, this day was great, and my memory of this camp will forever be treasured.
