Glad 2 B Here

We all were awoken by our skipper, Joey, who said he was gonna wake us up at sunrise! He did, we didn’t believe it at first, but we all got up and ate our breakfast, then it was time to go sailing! But first, we had to pull the secondary anchor; all the students got involved, Oliver and James. We’re screaming at the top of our lungs for the group to get going! Once we got out of the Savannah Bay, the wind was really going thats when I, the skipper of the day, told the rest of the shipmates we were going to throw a reef in. Joey said it was a safety system. Once we got all the sails up, we split into watch teams.

Team one was hanging around the power tower when we were learning about giving and tacking, but we all got to see the theory of sail maneuvers. Then, we did the practical of the sail maneuvers! After that, all the girls went to the trampoline and lay in the sun and got a last tan session in. We wanted to stop at one location for lunch, but another sail camp was there, so we motored to GHP. We were told a story about the RMS Rhone, a shipwreck that had to leave Great Harbor, Peter, and sank. Then a squall came through and gave us a little rain, but before you know it, it was already over. Then it was swim time, where everyone was in the water jumping and diving from the boarding gate!! Then it was time for our last passage into the moorings base, which went smoothly; all the shipmates threw lines and killed it. Then we all had shore time, which was so nice to walk around, but we all got land sick!! Then it was the final squeeze, which was very sad. Then it was card night, which was a great trip. We all thanked our parents so much for this opportunity
