Last Day
Location: West End, Tortola
Hey! Today was bittersweet because it is the last full day we will have during this session at Action Quest. I can honestly say it was one of the best. Because I was skipper today, I had an early start and attended a skipper's meeting with Gabe, our skipper, after eating some cereal. There, We met with the other skippers and discussed our plan for the race that happened today. We picked numbers out of a hat, and I got two which put us in a great position. Although we got second out of the Catamarans, it was awesome to do one last big sail with everyone. I got help on the helm with Koko and Piper, and they both did so well. I’m glad they were there.
After the race, we headed to West End and had a family meal at a local Indian food restaurant. I had vegetable korma, and it was delicious. After that, we deep cleaned the whole boat and got it ready to be a diving boat for the next session. We cleaned every inch of the boat, which took hours, but it looks just as good as it did when we first came onto the boat. We then showered and began getting ready for the last BBQ. I got to see my sister, which was awesome because I loved spending time with her in the BVIs. We ate burgers, hot dogs, and more Indian food and talked about how awesome the trip had been. I’m so sad to go and say goodbye to my new friends, but I’m excited to see my parents and dogs. This has been a great experience, and I’ve learned and grown so much. I am so grateful.
