British Virgin Islands - 2022, Session 1

Welcome to Judine!

Location: West End, Tortola

Over the past few weeks, the action quest staff have been working extremely hard preparing and setting up everything for an incredible summer. We are ecstatic to meet our shipmates today and watch as we start this journey as strangers and see it transform quickly as we become a family over the next 3 weeks. We cant wait to share our passions and introduce our shipmates to the world of sailing and diving as well as the full AQ experience. Without any further ado, here are you’re staff aboard Judine session 1!!! ;

Davis - Skipper

Davis started working for AQ in 2019 after being a shipmate on Seamester in the spring of 2018. She recently graduated from the University of Miami with a double B.S. in Marine Science and Biochemistry and minors in Chemistry and Studio Art. Davis plans to continue her education at UM next year, pursuing a Master of Professional Science degree in Tropical Marine Ecosystem Management. Her favorite pastimes involve going to the gym, cooking, finding fun new places to visit, and hanging out at the beach. A fun fact about Davis is that she played on the Women’s Club Lacrosse team at Miami!

Mac - Mate

Mac was born and raised on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. He is a certified skipper, rescue diver, and avid freediver. Mac grew up playing baseball and even played for a year in college before obtaining a career-ending injury. He is currently studying Environmental Science and Biology at Trinity College in Connecticut and is Vice President of the school’s Geology Club. Mac sailed over 8,000 nautical miles aboard the Seamester yacht Argo in the spring of 2021, and he is excited to stay involved this summer with Action Quest.

Katie - Dive Instructor

Katie grew up in a town just outside of Toronto, and even though the nearest saltwater was hundreds of miles away, she developed a love for the ocean at a very young age on family trips. Katie’s love for the sea grew when she joined AQ as a shipmate in 2018, where she took her first-ever breath underwater and has been hooked ever since. Katie then returned for an additional summer at AQ, followed by two trips with Seamester. When not in or on the ocean, she spends her winters in Canada as a snowboard instructor and just recently moved back home from living in whistler, BC. Katie is ecstatic to be a part of the AQ team this summer as a dive instructor and is excited to be a part of a memorable summer for her shipmates.

We cannot wait for an amazing first session!
