High On A Breeze

I think today might be the most eventful day, yet… we woke up, ate breakfast, and were told that we were going on a race against the other boats, so we decided to do a blackout by wearing black clothes. Everyone helped get the sail up, and with a lot of work, we won the race!!! It was definitely a highlight of the trip, and we also celebrated a lot. After the first race, we went to West End with the other boats, which was also where the ferry dropped us off on the first day. We spent most of our time in the grocery store and at the restaurant, where we had to wait one hour and a half for our food. But the best part of the day was that while waiting for the food, Alex came back after five days and got to hang out and come back to the boat with us. After that, we went back to the boat, refilled our water tank, and welcome Alex home. We also had to prepare ourselves for the second race, in which we started at a disadvantage because of some problems with our sail, but we ended up catching up with them and winning 3rd place. It was really fun because Ruby, William, Alex, Ace, and I went to the front of the boat and tried not to get splashed by waves. Then we anchored at Peter Island, showered, and ate pasta for dinner. The scary part of today was probably the sailing test that we had to do for our sailing license. We still don’t know the results. I’m nervous…
