Goodbyes
Location: West End, Tortola
Today we had to sadly say goodbye to our shipmates that you have been following along within this blog. The staff is saddened by this goodbye. We have become close to this group and thoroughly enjoyed their presence and contributions on this boat.
Families, soon you will be able to see your students. They will probably be a little bit sun-kissed, exhausted, yet keen on sharing all the stories… even the “had to be there” moments, and happy to be home. Some may be sad to have left as well. This experience is one that is meant to be for learning. Students learn, and staff learns. We learn about ourselves, each other, and a little more about the world we take space in. I hope you welcome your shipmates back with open arms and see the same person, but see that there is something changed, a part of them impacted by this trip in the best way because the best learning comes from challenge. We are all being challenged in some way.
