Day 2- On The Road
Location: Marina Cay
We woke up at 6:30 this morning, ready to rumble. We had cereal and fruit for breakfast before a nice, long orientation speech from the camp director. After that, it was anchors up before leaving the dock. We headed northeast towards the far end of Tortola. A storm is coming later tonight so to be safe we are going to Marina Cay. Marina Cay is an upwind passage from West End, so we motored for a while but then pulled up our mainsail and continued. There were 3-4 foot waves with a gray sky. We then got to Marina Cay and had to drop the jib and mainsail. We showered in the ocean and settled in for the rain to come. We have a dive chat tonight and then will get to bed early for a good start tomorrow!
