Staff Update Day One

Location: West End, Tortola

Mary Morgan III has been diligently preparing for shipmates' arrival and is packed full of all supplies necessary to make this one of the most fun and memorable times in the students' lives. West End has been bustling with the staff members of AQ, happily anticipating the shipmates' arrival on arrival day. She will be joined by Mahi Mahi III, Therapy and Second Wind, completing the Dive Side fleet.

Staff bios:
Sam - skipper
After graduating from Wake Forest University in 2004, Sam followed his passion for the water and travel, working as a Sailing and Scuba Diving instructor in Costa Rica, Thailand and Belize. Sam joined AQ in 2007 and is now the director of the BVI Diving program. He holds certifications as an MCA Master of Yachts 200 Ton, PADI IDC Staff Instructor, and Advanced Medic at Sea. An avid traveler, he can be found seeking out new adventures abroad, from paragliding in the Alps to jungle trekking in Sumatra.

Davis - dive instructor / mate

Davis Nunneley is a PADI instructor and student at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he studies creative writing and philosophy. His love for the water started when he got his open water certification at the age of eleven and grew as he completed his advanced open water and rescue diver certifications at Action Quest. Growing up in Atlanta, however, there were not many chances to go diving, so he passed the time by fishing and rock climbing, which carry the responsibility and awareness that he incorporates into his teaching.
Annie - divemaster / mate
Annie just finished her Dive Master certification and is now a staff member on the vessel. In the fall, Annie will be attending Northeastern University. Growing up in North Carolina, Annie has always loved to be near the water, so working for Action Quest is a dream come true to her. This is Annie's third summer on ActionQuest. Previously she was on the Neptune voyage and traveled across the Atlantic aboard Argo, one of AQ's schooner vessels. Annie ran cross country in high school, and personal health and wellness are very important to her. She plans on majoring in Marine Biology in the fall.
