Staff Update Day 1
Location: West End, Tortola
We can't believe it's already session 3, and Jack, Bobby, and I are so excited to meet our new crew today. Shipmates will be arriving from all over the states, and the rest of the world, to start the adventure. We've had a few days since our last shipmates left to re-organize for all of the great activities we have planned- from Pico sailing to windsurfing to waterskiing... not to mention certifying some brand new open water divers and even some advanced divers and sailors. We've got sunny skies and fair winds, our boat is ready to go with fresh food and linens, and now all we need are the shipmates- can't wait to see them on the dock in a matter of hours!
Here is an introduction to the crew of Changes:
Born in Colorado, Jack moved with his family at an early age and enjoyed an international upbringing in South America. When he was a child in Argentina, Jack first started sailing windsurfers and small dinghies on the River Plate. After returning to the United States, Jack raced lasers as a junior sailor. He returned to Colorado to study Economics at Fort Lewis College, graduating with a B.Sc. Since 2009, Jack has been a team member on ActionQuest and Lifeworks and joined Sea|mester as a mate in 2010. Jack currently holds an IYT Master of Yachts 200-ton sail and power endorsed, as well as a PADI Divemaster certification.
Cayley hails from Vancouver, Canada. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts, and has since spent her time adventuring; teaching scuba abroad or leading eco-tours in her hometown. When she isn't underwater, you'll find her on her bike, on her skis, or playing with other people's dogs. This is Cayley's second stint with AQ, and she's really pumped to dive the Chikuzen.
Born and raised in South East Asia, Bobby developed his love of nature by wedging himself in coral reefs and climbing coconut trees on tropical beaches. Diving for well over a decade and teaching PADI professionally since 2008 he comes to us for a third year as one of our Dive Directors after recently completing his Masters at The University of Sheffield.
