Staff Update Day 1

Location: West End

Here is an introduction to the crew of Changes:

Monika- skipper

During college, Monika sailed aboard Ocean Star as a Sea|mester student before joining the AQ team as a Divemaster. Upon returning to university, Monika received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, while also earning her IYT Master of Yachts 200 Ton, and EMT certifications. Now a skipper with Action Quest, Monika strives to provide her students with the same incredible experience she had as a shipmate.

Jake- dive instructor/mate

Born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI, Jake started diving in the Great Lakes region at age 12. In 2006 Jake moved to Winter Park, FL to attend Rollins College, where he worked as a Divemaster and dive instructor and earned an A.B. in international relations. A previous shipmate in 2005 and 2006, Jake started working for ActionQuest in 2011.

Simon- dive instructor/mate

Simon was raised in Scotland, and it rains there a lot! So after completing his Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, he moved to London. It still wasn't sunny enough there though, and he soon grew tired of the 9-5; leaving his desk and wet skies behind, he took the plunge and swapped them for a new office under the ocean. Simon has dived all across the world, from South Africa to Honduras and Egypt to Australia, where he first become a SCUBA Pro in 2002. He has been teaching full time now since 2005, and especially enjoys seeing new divers' faces light up after their first experiences in the water. Simon is a PADI Master Instructor, CPR/First Aid Instructor Trainer, Cave Diver, Technical Diver, and is currently working on gaining his yachting qualifications.
