British Virgin Islands - 2013, Session 2

Staff Update Day 1

Location: West End

After many hours of hard work, the first day of session two has finally arrived! We've watered and fooded boats, scrubbed dinghies, marked PFDs, added two boats to the fleet, and now we're ready for shipmates to arrive. Jack, Bobby, and I are so excited to meet our crew, get off the dock, and begin another amazing adventure!

Here is an introduction to the crew of Celestial Storm:

Jack- skipper

Born in Colorado, Jack moved with his family at an early age and enjoyed an international upbringing in South America. When he was a child in Argentina, Jack first started sailing windsurfers and small dinghies on the River Plate. After returning to the United States, Jack raced lasers as a junior sailor. He returned to Colorado to study Economics at Fort Lewis College, graduating with a B.Sc. Since 2009, Jack has been a team member on ActionQuest and Lifeworks and joined Sea|mester as a mate in 2010. Jack currently holds an IYT Master of Yachts 200-ton sail and power endorsed, as well as a PADI Divemaster certification.

Bobby- dive instructor/mate

Born and raised in Southeast Asia, Bobby developed his love of nature by wedging himself in coral reefs and climbing coconut trees on tropical beaches. Diving for well over a decade and teaching PADI professionally since 2008, he comes to us for a third year as one of our diving directors after recently completing his Masters at The University of Sheffield.

Emelia- divemaster/mate

Emelia, a newly certified Divemaster from Washington DC, is beyond stoked for her first session as an ActionQuest staff member! After being an AQ student for six years, she is excited to give her shipmates the same incredible experience she had as a shipmate.
