Staff Update Day One

Location: West End, Tortola

Ahoy there matey. The illustrious crew of MJ welcomes all. Captain Greg has joined sail side from dive side and is excited to race the monohulls. Along with Jake, he will tackle the advanced scuba diving this session. Jake is moving onto MJ with tons of experience. He was a part of the Tanis Marie sail sweep session one when they won all the races. Now we hope to harness these favorable winds to our fortune. Kristen is heading up the Quest program and is looking forward to another amazing session. Now as the shipmates arrive, and all preparations are complete, excitement grows for tomorrow's departure from the dock!

Here is an introduction to the crew of MJ:

Greg- skipper/dive instructor

Greg is a captain and dive instructor year round in the Virgin Islands. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater in 2009 with a BBA in Operations Management. Shortly after he moved to Thailand and became a PADI scuba instructor. This is his second year at ActionQuest.

Jake- dive instructor/mate

Kristen- mate/Wilderness First Responder

Kristen is from Long Island, New York. While attending Eckerd College on the Western coast of Florida, Kristen, a Psychology and Human Development double major, decided to study abroad.  She enrolled in our Sea|mester program aboard S/Y Ocean Star during the summer of 2010.  During her Sea|mester voyage, Kristen received certification in sailing and scuba diving.  While sailing with S/Y Ocean Star, Kristen realized she had a real love for the sailing and being on the ocean.  Upon graduating this past May with her Bachelor's Degree, Kristen joins the staff of ActionQuest.  Kristen's professional credentials include PADI Advanced Open Water certification, IYT Crew Certification, and Wilderness First Responder certification.
